Social Justice
The Social Justice Action Committee (SJAC) is committed to building bridges with the TOL congregation and the broader community by valuing, supporting, and creating common cause through education, outreach, and advocacy.
Our objectives are to build meaningful relationships and collaborate with other religious, cultural, and civic groups engaged in social justice, and create common cause and acceptance of each other, individually and as a Congregation. We also seek to educate and influence decision-makers engaged in actions and legislation that will provide a more equitable South Carolina for all its citizens.

MORE Justice
Tree of Life is a constituent organization of MORE Justice, a network of faith-based congregations that seek to fulfill the scriptural mandate to “do justice” and make the Central Midlands a more just place to live for all people. Member congregations work together to empower marginalized people and to address serious community-wide problems by holding local officials accountable for resolving inequities and injustices. The Social Justice Action Committee coordinates our involvement in this community-wide initiative.
