Shabbat Evening Services

We hold Shabbat Evening Services at 7:30 PM on Friday. The services are live-streamed from the sanctuary.

During a typical evening service, we celebrate Shabbat with prayer, song and reflection. Music is an important part of our services with our melodies  reflecting a wide variety of Jewish composers, contemporary and traditional. Services are led by Rabbi Uriarte and the TOL Music Committee. We use Mishkan Tefilah, the prayerbook of the Reform Movement. Prayers are recited both in Hebrew and in English.

Our Shabbat Evening Service generally includes a Torah service, as well as a sermon or D’var Torah (Torah teaching)  or a study session led by Rabbi Uriarte. We also include a special prayer for healing for all those who are ill. If you would like to request a name to be added to our healing list, please contact the TOL office.

Our services are participatory – we encourage everyone to join in. All are welcome to worship services at Tree of Life. Join us for our Oneg Shabbat reception in the Reyner Family Social Hall following services.

Please note that the time may change for special services or holiday services.

Shabbat Morning B'nai Mitzvah Service

Our B'nai Mitzvah are called to the Torah during special Shabbat morning services that start at 10:30 AM. The B'nai Mitzvah lead prayers, read Torah and deliver a brief teaching (d'rash). These services are a wonderful opportunity for our community to celebrate with the B'nai Mitzvah families. All are welcome to attend.
