The Columbia Jewish Federation works to ensure a thriving Jewish community that is welcoming, inclusive, informed, educated, and engaged. You can sign up for a weekly Eblast with information on upcoming programs, including the Jane and David Kulbersh Rendezvous Lounge, a series of cultural activity programs for senior adults. In addition, CJF publishes the Columbia Jewish News.
Columbia Jewish Heritage Initiative
In partnership with the Jewish Historical Society of South Carolina, this initiative documents, celebrates, and increases awareness of local Jewish history, heritage, and culture.
Jewish Historical Society of South Carolina
The purpose of the Jewish Historical Society of South Carolina is to encourage the collection, study, and interpretation of South Carolina Jewish history and to increase awareness of that heritage among Jews and non Jews. The Society holds two conferences every year, publishes a biannual magazine, and provides webinars on historical topics.
South Carolina Council on the Holocaust
The South Carolina Council on the Holocaust provides educational programs about the systematic genocide of 6 million Jews ad others in the Holocaust to help prevent such atrocities from happening again. The work of this group seeks to honor the survivors of the Holocaust and the camp liberators who call South Carolina their home. The Council holds programs and provides resources for educators.
