Virtual Minyan - Online Shabbat Gathering

Fridays, 7:30 PM Sing and pray with us! Coming together in a virtual minyan gives us the opportunity to experience Shabbat in our homes, and connect with each other as a community. Can you imagine our TOL households lighting Shabbat candles together throughout Columbia?

We will be using Zoom conferencing for our Friday evening gatherings. Social: To participate in the pre-neg, drop in 10-15 minutes early. Chat and hang out with other members. Please check your weekly email for log-in information to be admitted!

Prayerbooks/Siddurim: We will share the prayers on the screen. If you prefer to use our regular siddur, you can follow along in the Mishkan Tefilah Flip Book (available only on the website, best to use with an additional computer or tablet.

Caring Community - Kesher Groups

As a Caring Community, we value being in relationship with each other and showing up for one another. In this unprecedented crisis we hold our community especially close. To ensure the wellbeing of our members, Annette Goldstein is coordinating our Caring Community's outreach. Please let Annette know if you, a loved one, or a member of the congregation is struggling because of social isolation, illness, hospitalization, financial difficulties, or needs help with grocery shopping, or just needs a caring voice and a virtual hug as we navigate these uncertain times.

Our Caring Community and Rabbi Meyer want to be there for you in your time of need. Reach out to Annette via text  803.556.4929 or email or notify the temple office

May we be blessed with strength, health and ometz lev (courage)!

Daily blessings during the COVID-19 pandemic

A Prayer of Hope During this Pandemic (Rabbi Naomi Levy)

We are frightened, God,
Worried for our loved ones,
Worried for our world.
Helpless and confused,
We turn to You
Seeking comfort, faith and hope.

Teach us God, to turn our panic into patience,
And our fear into acts of kindness and support.
Our strong must watch out for our weak,
Our young must take care of our old.
Help each one of us to do our part to halt the spread of this virus

Send strength and courage to the doctors and nurses
In the frontlines of this battle,
Fortify them with the full force of their healing powers.
Send wisdom and insight to the scientists
Working day and night across the world to discover healing treatments.
Bless their efforts, God.
Fill our leaders with the wisdom and the courage
To choose wisely and act quickly.
Help us, God, to see that we are one world,
One people
Who will rise above this pandemic together.

Send us health God,
Watch over us,
Grace us with Your love,
Bless us with Your healing light.
Hear us God,
Heal us God,
